About this concert

Siwoo Kim joins oboist James Austin Smith, countertenor Reginald Mobley and violinist Yura Lee for an afternoon of guided, thoughtful listening on time, perspective and contentment.

Carnegie Hall’s Well-Being Concerts invite audiences to slow down and listen closely. This one moves from the intimate pulse of J. S. Bach’s solo music and the quiet acceptance of his cantata Ich habe genug (I have enough) to the suspended, dream-like landscapes of Takemitsu, asking what it means to be truly present.

The seating is casual: mats, cushions and chairs, first come, first served, in the Weill Music Room of Carnegie Hall’s Resnick Education Wing. Full program to be announced.
