About this concert
The Crescent City Chamber Music Festival’s Romantic evening at Tulane runs from Shostakovich’s youthful Two Pieces for Octet to the festival’s first performance of Brahms’s Piano Quintet in F minor.
Between them come Turina’s rarely heard Scène andalouse and Seth Grosshandler’s Suite for Clarinet Quintet, written in 2023. The Manhattan Chamber Players, the festival’s ensemble in residence, perform, with Siwoo Kim among the violins and pianist Adam Golka in the Brahms. Artistic director Luke Fleming gives an informal talk at 6:30 pm.
