About this concert
Music From Copland House plays Shawn Okpebholo’s Black Music at Bluestone Farm in Brewster, with Siwoo Kim, the ensemble’s principal violinist.
Okpebholo’s chamber music has long been part of the Copland House Ensemble’s repertoire; the ensemble commissioned and premiered his Harlem Dance Hall: The Savoy in 2024. Bluestone Farm, the former Melrose School campus on 24 wooded acres at the New York–Connecticut border, is Copland House’s new home for concerts, recording and education.
The rest of the program will be announced.
