About this concert
By candlelight, the Lima Symphony Orchestra brings Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, Barber’s Adagio for Strings and Copland’s Appalachian Spring to Minster, with Siwoo Kim as soloist.
Echoes of Spring is the orchestra’s winter candlelight program, built around reflective, lyrical music, heard here in St. Augustine Church, Minster’s Gothic Revival landmark. James Blachly, a candidate for the orchestra’s music director post, conducts; he also leads the Experiential Orchestra and the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra. Siwoo Kim plays the Mendelssohn Concerto in E minor, Op. 64.
